Because healing, connection, and change always begin with people willing to sit at the same table.
When Hope WINS first began, it wasn’t built from policies or programs—it was built from people. Parents who were overwhelmed and needed someone who understood. Kids searching for belonging. Caregivers doing their best with what they had. Community members who believed that families deserve more support, not more shame.
That same heart still drives everything we do. And now, as a growing Family-Run Organization, we want—even more intentionally—to center the voices of parents, caregivers, youth, and community partners in every decision we make.
Why Get Involved? Because Your Experience Is the Missing Piece
Hope WINS exists because lived experience matters. Families know what’s working, what’s not, and what is desperately needed. Your voice helps us:
- Create programs that actually fit what families are facing
- Build a stronger community support network
- Ensure parents and caregivers feel valued, not judged
- Shape policies rooted in real experiences
- Offer youth a chance to lead, influence, and be heard
When you share your story, your questions, or your insight, you help shape the future of Hope WINS—and the future of family mental-health support in our community.
What Getting Involved Looks Like
Getting involved doesn’t mean you have to be an expert, attend every meeting, or take on big responsibilities. It simply means showing up in a way that works for you. Here are several ways families and community members can join in:
1. Join the Hope WINS Collaborative
We’ve launched a multi-generational, multi-perspective group that meets to discuss what’s working, what needs to change, and how we build programs that reflect real experiences. In just two meetings, we’ve already had:
- Parents and caregivers
- Hope WINS staff and Hope Coaches
- Community professionals
- Youth voices—two college students and two high school students
Your seat at the table matters.
2. Share Your Story Through Our Community Newsletter or Facebook post
Each newsletter includes segments written by real people—a parent, a child, a community member, and a Hope WINS board member. Adding your voice gives hope, breaks stigma, and reminds families they aren’t alone.
3. Volunteer or Become a Hope Coach
Whether you’re a parent with lived experience, a young adult who cares deeply about kids, or a retired educator who still believes in connection—you can help us create safe, meaningful spaces for youth.
4. Offer Feedback, Ideas, or Concerns
Sometimes the most powerful involvement comes through a single conversation, email, or suggestion. When families speak, we listen—and we adjust.
No Time to Volunteer? You Can Still Make a Huge Impact
We know that life is busy—between work, parenting, school, and everything in between, not everyone has the time to volunteer or take on a position. But your heart for kids and families can still make a difference.
You can support Hope WINS by donating funds to:
- Sponsor a child to attend Mac Camp
- Provide materials for family connection events
- Cover snacks, activities, or transportation for youth
- Support the Parent-to-Parent program as it grows
Every gift—big or small—helps us create safe spaces for kids to belong, learn, and heal. Your generosity removes barriers for families who need support the most.
Heading—And Why We Need You
Hope WINS is growing. Families are reaching out for help faster than ever before. Kids are craving safe adults who see their strengths. Parents need connection and support. But we can’t do this work alone. A healthy Family-Run Organization is built from the inside out—by families, for families.
Your story. Your voice. Your ideas.
Your belief in something better.
That’s what will shape the next chapter of Hope WINS.
Ready to Get Involved?
You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to know the right words.
You just need a heart for kids, families, and community.
Reach out. Raise your hand. Offer a thought. Share your story.
Or make a gift that helps a child feel seen and supported.
Together, we can build a place where connection heals, families feel supported, and every child knows their life—and their story—matters.
