Sean McDanel brings both personal and professional experience to his role on the Hope WINS Board. A dedicated husband to Linsey McDanel, Executive Director of Hope WINS, Sean is a proud father of five children, three of whom were adopted through foster care. He has served for the past 28 years as a manager at Brinks Security in Rockford, demonstrating steadfast leadership and commitment in both his career and personal life.

Sean’s passion for supporting families is deeply rooted in his own story. Having endured a traumatic and abusive childhood, he holds a profound understanding of the long-term impact of trauma. That lived experience now serves as a guiding force in his parenting and advocacy, as he works to support not only his own children but others navigating similar challenges.

As a board member, Sean is committed to being a voice for those silenced by trauma, a source of encouragement for families in need, and an active part of building a brighter, more connected future through the mission of Hope WINS.
