My fiancé and I have three daughters, and last year we learned that our middle daughter has ADHD. While she did begin counseling, as a parent I still felt lost. The counseling was for her, but I often felt unsure of what I should be doing to truly support her. At times, I had no idea if I was doing enough.

One day, I reached out on Facebook—honestly, just a shot in the dark—asking if there were any local support groups. I am so thankful that Kellie Jenkins reached out to me and told me about HopeWins.

We try to attend the monthly support meetings when our schedule allows, and even when we can’t make every one, being part of HopeWins has opened so much up for me and my family. Our middle daughter has faced educational challenges, and having Linsey attend meetings with me has been a huge relief. As a former educator—and someone who truly understands kids like Kiyah—she has helped us feel like we are finally moving in the right direction.

I was one of those kids who didn’t get the help I probably needed growing up, and I see a little bit of myself in my daughter. I know she can succeed—she just may need to do it with some extra support and in her own way.

Thank you so much to HopeWins and to the amazing people we’ve met along the way. We are truly grateful.
