Family Connection Night

At the heart of Hope WINS is a deep commitment to creating spaces where families feel seen, supported, and empowered. Family Connection Night is held every 3rd Thursday at 5 PM from Jan to April and August through November at Grace Episcopal Church in Freeport, brings this vision to life. These evenings offer a welcoming environment for families of all backgrounds to gather around a family-style meal—often home-cooked or locally sourced—and share in nourishment, conversation, and community. But dinner is just the beginning.

Each Family Connection Night is built around intentional learning and growth. Parents are invited to engage in interactive workshops or hear from guest speakers who provide valuable insights into topics like trauma-informed parenting, social-emotional development, and community resources. At the same time, children participate in meaningful, age-appropriate activities that reflect the same themes, allowing families to learn alongside one another in a supportive and inclusive setting. This dual approach ensures that every family member feels involved, understood, and empowered.

These connection nights are more than monthly events—they are living examples of Hope WINS’ mission in action. By focusing on Resilience, Inclusion, Support, and Empowerment, Family Connection Night helps families strengthen their bonds, expand their toolkits, and know they’re not alone. Through shared meals, laughter, learning, and support, Hope WINS continues to walk alongside families every step of the way—helping them rise, together.
